Envoy Mortgage was founded in 1997 by David Zugheri and Dana Gompers. Industry wide, mortgage companies inefficiently boast 20% customer retention. Bucking the trend, Envoy Mortgage was built by developing cutting edge technology wrapped around life long relationships with previous clients. Friends, family and associates of those clients make up a high percentage of Envoy Mortgage’s new business.
Dana Gompers, CEO
Dana has been a lending specialist in the mortgage banking industry since 1994 and currently serves as partner and CEO of Envoy Mortgage. His experience ranges from processing and originating residential loans to organizational development, strategic planning and business enhancements projects.
Dana’s extensive knowledge and background in the mortgage industry has allowed him to facilitate a joint venture specializing in a new and innovative paperless loan file system, called LoanData.
Dana sits on the Board of Directors for the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, and serves on the Lenders One Advisory Board. He also participates on the Diversity Task Force Committee and Residential Production Committee for the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Dana is a graduate on the Dean’s list from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Finance with emphasis on Real Estate. He has obtained a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation, which is recognized as the highest achievement award for all real estate finance professionals in the mortgage industry.
David Zugheri, President
David Zugheri is a native Houstonian, graduating from St. Thomas High School and leaving Houston once only to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Upon graduation in 1992, Zugheri entered into the finance world through employment at the Resolution Trust Corporation (division of FDIC). Since then Zugheri has gained extensive work experience through various mortgage conduits including North American Mortgage, Irwin Mortgage, and GE Capital. He also sits on an advisory council to Countrywide Financial (the largest lender in America). Zugheri is the co-founder and President of Envoy Mortgage, Ltd.
Zugheri has also been a guest speaker in several finance classes at Houston Community College, The University of Houston and Texas A&M University May’s School of Business. He has also been a guest speaker for the Houston West Chamber of Commerce and the Houston Association of Realtors. You can hear Zugheri on the radio on Houston’s 700 AM on “Street Talk Live”, Houston’s number one rated financial talk show.
Zugheri earned the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation in 2005. The CMB, awarded by the Mortgage Bankers Association, is the highest professional designation for the mortgage industry and identifies individuals who are recognized as experts in the industry. To earn his CMB, Zugheri completed a rigorous program of coursework, successfully completed a series of written and oral exams. Zugheri has more than 14 years experience.
More important than any of the above, David Zugheri is a proud father of his adorable daughter Mia R. Zugheri.
